The 9th All India Bridge Championship was held in Kolkata from 30 April to 3 May 2026 at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. The tournament was organized by the Contract Bridge Association of India in association with the West Bengal Bridge Association.

More than 400 players from across the country took part. The program included a team event, using a Swiss qualifying phase followed by knockout rounds and two pairs events. Selected matches were broadcast on Bridge Base Online.

The main teams event was won by a squad led by Sumit Mukherjee, with Sayantan Kushari, Sagnik Roy, Rajeshwar Tiwari, Sandip Dutta, Kaustubh Bendre and Kaustabh Nandi, who defeated a team led by Arun Jain in the final.

In the pairs events, the Matchpoint Pairs title went to Arun Bapat and Swarnendu Banerjee, while the IMP Pairs was won by Tapas Dasgupta and S. K. Mondal.

The event forms part of the national calendar of the Indian federation. India has recorded results in regional and international competitions in recent years, including medal performances at the 2018 Asian Games.

India will next host the 5th Asia Cup Bridge Championships from 21 to 27 June 2026 in Goa. This major event bringing together elite teams from Zones 4, 6, and 7 across Asia, the Middle East, and the South Pacific.
