This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit Bridge.com, create an account, publish content, interact with our social features, or purchase any paid content (together, the “Services”). It also explains your rights and choices under the EU/UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the website Services.

This Policy covers Bridge.com and related features we operate (e.g., account, profile, social posting, messaging, subscriptions, and ad-supported content). It does not cover third-party sites or services we do not own or control.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 15 and the Services are intended for users 16+ (see §13). Retention aligns with our records program and integrity needs.
Legal bases (EEA/UK/Swiss): contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) where required (e.g., certain cookies/ads), and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
3) Sources of Personal Information
- You (account registration, profile, posts, messages, purchases, support).
- Your device/browser (cookies, SDKs, telemetry, crash logs).
- Payment processors (Stripe: confirmations/tokens only; we don’t store card data).Advertising/analytics partners (limited identifiers/metrics; see §7–§9).
- Bridge organizations (where you link or participate in eligibility-checked events; see §8).
- Other users (reports/flags to keep the community safe).
4) How We Use Personal Information
- Provide, personalize, and operate the Services and their social features.
- Authenticate accounts; maintain security; prevent fraud/abuse.
- Process Stripe subscriptions for paid content/subscription; provide support.
- Moderate user content and enforce community rules if necessary.
- Communicate about updates, features, and promotions (according to your preferences).
- Perform analytics and improve performance, reliability, and safety.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
5) Disclosures of Personal Information
We disclose personal information to:
- Service Providers / Processors under contracts limiting their use to our instructions, including but not limited to:
- Studio CAD (infrastructure management, database/back-office access as needed);
- Stripe (subscriptions/payments; tokenized);
- Hosting/cloud, security, logging, and performance monitoring;
- Customer support tooling;
- Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and consent management;
- Anti-fraud/abuse and moderation tooling for community safety.
- Advertising/measurement partners (limited identifiers/metrics; see §7–§9).
- Group companies inside 52 Entertainment §6.
- Bridge Federations / Organizations as described in §8.
- Law enforcement / regulators where legally required or to protect users, our Services, or rights.
- Corporate transactions (merger, acquisition, reorganization).
We do not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. states treat certain advertising/analytics disclosures as “sharing” for targeted advertising—see Your Choices (§9).
6) Data Sharing within LES EDITIONS DE LA PRESSE SPECIALISEE (“Bridge.com”)
We aim to help players discover and connect across EPS’s bridge ecosystem.
What we may share (minimum necessary):
- Basic identifiers (account ID, username, email hash), limited profile details, and linking status;
- Marketing and attribution signals (aggregated/limited identifiers);
- Eligibility or competition-related metadata where relevant (see §8).
Why:
- Cross-brand features or promotions you opt into;
- Player recruitment, event coordination, and integrity purposes;
- Measurement and analytics to understand cross-platform interest (aggregated where possible).
Unless stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy, EPS is in the role of a Data Controller for any personal data processing relating to the usage of Bridge.com.
7) Cookies, SDKs & Advertising (direct sponsorships)
We use cookies and similar technologies for login, preferences, analytics, and security. We also use limited identifiers with advertising/measurement partners to support:
- SEA campaigns run by Avenir Multimedia (we do not access their back office; we may receive aggregated campaign metrics).
Your browser and device controls: You can manage cookies in your browser; mobile users can reset/limit advertising IDs. Some features may not work without essential cookies.
8) Bridge Federations & Organizations
Bridge.com may cooperate with Bridge Federations/Organizations (e.g., national federations, World/Regional bodies) to help verify eligibility (e.g., age-based categories) and to support official records.
What we may receive: federation codes/IDs, name, country/eligibility, event entries, and results; where strictly necessary, date of birth or similar eligibility data (which may be treated as special category in some jurisdictions).
What we may disclose: your account identifier(s), event participation data, results, integrity outcomes (where appropriate), and the minimum necessary personal data to support eligibility and official records.
Legal bases: explicit consent where required; otherwise, legitimate interests (fair competition; maintaining accurate records).
Roles: Federations/Organizations and 52 businesses generally act as independent controllers for their respective databases and public records (e.g., masterpoints, rankings). Please review the relevant federation privacy policy.
9) Your Privacy Choices & Rights
Consent & Preferences
- Use our on-site Consent/Preference Manager (CMP) to control cookies/SDKs used for analytics and targeted ads.
- We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals in supported browsers where required by law.
- You can opt out of marketing emails anytime (unsubscribe link).
U.S. State Rights (e.g., CA, CO, CT, VA, UT)
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, delete, correct, appeal, portability, and to opt out of “sharing” for targeted advertising. Submit requests via [email protected]. We will verify your identity and honor authorized agent requests as allowed by law. We do not discriminate against exercising rights.
EEA/UK/Swiss Rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)

10) Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Account/core profile: life of account + up to 3 years after closure/inactivity;
- User content & moderation logs: ~2 years (longer if under review);
- Payments/invoices: 7 years (accounting/tax obligations);
- Security/fraud logs: ~100 days (longer if investigating abuse);
- Federation/competition records: retained as needed for historical and competitive integrity.
We may de-identify or aggregate data for analytics and service improvement.
11) International Data Transfers (EU↔US and elsewhere)
We operate globally and may transfer your information to countries outside your own, including the United States and EU/EEA/UK.
For EEA/UK/Swiss users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) (and the UK Addendum, where applicable) and other safeguards for transfers to countries without an adequacy decision. Our processors and group recipients are bound by transfer and confidentiality commitments consistent with applicable laws.
12) Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit/at rest where relevant, access controls, monitoring, and regular testing. No system is perfect—please use strong passwords and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
13) Children’s Privacy & Age Limits
Bridge.com is intended for users aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
Where Bridge Federations run junior programs, those organizations act as the primary collectors. If we process limited eligibility data (e.g., date of birth) for official events, we do so only as necessary for eligibility and integrity, with appropriate legal basis (consent or legitimate interests) and safeguards.
14) Social Features & Community Standards
Bridge.com includes public profiles, posting, comments, and messaging (WordPress-powered). Please remember that content you post may be visible to others. We may moderate, filter, or remove content that violates our rules and may suspend or ban accounts for safety and integrity.
We may use automated tools plus human review to detect spam, harassment, or other violations. We log moderation actions and, where necessary, may share minimal information with federations or 52 Entertainment businesses for integrity purposes.
15) Monetization, Sponsorship & “Do Not Sell/Share”
- Direct sponsorships/ad space: We may sell placement to sponsors directly. We do not sell your personal information for money.
- SEO (one-off) and SEA (Avenir Multimedia): We may receive aggregated campaign metrics; we do not access Avenir’s back office.
- No data brokerage: We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
16) Payments & Subscriptions (Stripe)
If you purchase paid content or subscribe to a certain service, your payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe provides us with non-sensitive payment metadata (e.g., status, token, receipt). We do not store card numbers. Please review Stripe’s own Privacy Policy.
17) Your Controls
- Access/Download/Deletion: Request via [email protected].
- Marketing: Unsubscribe links in each marketing email.
- Cookies/Tracking: Use our CMP, browser settings, and (on mobile) device ad settings.
- GPC: We honor Global Privacy Control where required.
18) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., by email or prominent in-product notice). The “Effective date” shows the latest version.

Annex – U.S. State Privacy Disclosures (CA/CO/CT/VA/UT)
- We collect the categories listed in §2. We use and disclose them for the purposes listed in §4–§7.
- We do not sell personal information for money. We may engage in activities that some states define as “sharing” for targeted advertising. You may opt out via our CMP and GPC.
- We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a “limit” right under applicable law.
- You may exercise your access, deletion, correction, portability, and opt-out rights as described in §9. We will verify your request and respond as required by law.
