TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE (TERMS)

The company LES EDITIONS DE LA PRESSE SPECIALISEE (“Bridge.com”), a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered with the Lille Métropole Trade and Companies Register under number 582 106 787, with its registered office at Sharewood Building B, 28 rue Parmentier, 59650 Villeneuve-d’Ascq, which operates the website lebridgeur.com and is specialized in the marketing of products and content related to bridge. It makes available, in particular, a free and openly accessible platform (the “Platform”) for the benefit of any natural person using the Platform strictly for personal and non-commercial purposes (the “User(s)”).
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”) is to define the terms and conditions for access to and use of the Platform by Users.

Article 1- PURPOSE
These Terms govern the contractual relationship between Bridge.com and the Users concerning access to, registration on, browsing of, and use of the Platform.
Article 2- ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS
By accepting these Terms without reservation, the User acknowledges having read and fully understood them, accepts all of their provisions, and authorizes the processing of their personal data under the conditions set out below. In the event of refusal, the User undertakes not to use or access the Platform.
These Terms are accessible online on the website (www.bridge.com) under the “Terms” section and are binding on the User from the date they are published online or from the date of their latest update.
Bridge.com reserves the right to modify the Platform and these Terms at any time and without prior notice.
Users are invited to consult the latest version of the Terms regularly.
Article 3- ACCESS TO THE PLATFORM
Browsing the Platform is free.
However, any interaction, posting, or use of the messaging system on the Platform requires prior registration through the creation of an account.
Account creation requires the User to provide:
- last name and first name;
- email address;
- a secure password.
Upon registration, the User undertakes to provide accurate, current, and complete information concerning their identity and contact details. In particular, the User guarantees the accuracy of the email address provided and declares that they are its owner. If the information provided proves to be false or inaccurate, Bridge.com may, at its sole discretion, suspend or close the User’s account without prior notice.
Bridge.com also reserves the right to close a User’s account for any legitimate and objectively justified reason, after prior notification to the User (by email or post). This may include, in particular, any breach of legal provisions, especially criminal law, infringement of third-party rights, or behavior detrimental to the interests of any person or of Bridge.com, contrary to the rules of conduct set out herein, or facilitating unauthorized use of the Platform.
The User undertakes to hold only one account and not to share their login credentials or passwords with third parties. The User remains solely responsible for their use.
The User may delete their account by accessing their account settings.
In the event of prolonged inactivity for a continuous period of three years, Bridge.com may delete the account.
Article 4- RULES OF CONDUCT
While recognizing freedom of expression as a fundamental principle, Users are reminded that this freedom is limited by respect for the rights of others.
Users therefore undertake to express themselves politely, courteously, and respectfully toward others, whether or not they are Users of the Platform.
In particular, Users undertake not to post or send content in bulk, not to insult or defame anyone, not to impersonate others, not to infringe third-party rights (including personality rights or intellectual property rights), and not to publish or send any malicious content or data.
It is strictly prohibited to:
- publish insulting, defamatory, obscene, racist, sexist, or discriminatory content;
- distribute advertising, promotional, or similar messages (spam) without prior authorization;
- post content infringing third-party rights (copyright, privacy, image, intellectual property, personal data, etc.);
- divert the Platform from its purpose (discussions about bridge), for example by redirecting to other websites, or hinder its proper functioning;
- use the Platform to transmit unsolicited or unauthorized promotional messages;
- fraudulently access or remain in any part of an automated data processing system of the Platform (Article L.323-1 of the French Criminal Code).
Bridge.com reserves the right to delete any non-compliant message and to sanction any behavior contrary to these Terms. Criminal offenses may be reported to the judicial authorities.
Article 5- MODERATION
Bridge.com does not carry out any systematic prior moderation or control of the data and content published by Users on the Platform.
Consequently, Users and any person accessing the Platform are invited to report to Bridge.com any data or content likely to be illegal or contrary to the rules of conduct set out above.
Such reports must be made in accordance with Article 6, I, 5 of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, in particular via the notification form available on the Platform.
Article 6- LIABILITY
Article 6.1 – User Liability
Users remain solely responsible for their actions, statements, and the data or content they publish or distribute.
Users guarantee that the content they publish does not infringe the rights of any person or prior rights and that they hold all necessary rights, in particular intellectual property rights.
Bridge.com acts as a hosting provider within the meaning of Article 6, I, 2 of the aforementioned law.
Article 6.2 – Bridge.com Liability
Access to the Platform is provided free of charge for strictly personal and non-commercial use.
Bridge.com shall not be held liable for interruptions, suspensions, or temporary malfunctions of access to the Platform, regardless of the cause.
Bridge.com is responsible only for the data and content it publishes.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Bridge.com remains the exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights relating to the Platform and its own content.
The User grants Bridge.com a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license for the legal duration of protection to use the content published, for communication, promotion, or community activities.
Article 7- PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Bridge.com collects personal data for account management, user relations, and communications, stored on servers located in France, and not disclosed to third parties.
Article 8- COOKIES
Bridge.com uses cookies to ensure proper functioning of the Platform, improve user experience, and display advertising.
Article 9- GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the jurisdiction of the Lille-Métropole Court of Appeal.
