Building on the momentum of last year’s outstanding edition, the Winter Transnational Championships made a successful return to the Czech capital for the second year in a row.

The 3rd European Winter Transnational Championships were held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 10 to 19 February 2026, under the auspices of the European Bridge League (EBL). The Championships took place at the Top Congress Hotel Prague and were open to players and teams from all around the world.

The titles across all competitions were claimed by the following winners:

Zimmermann Cup

Team Knottebelt — Maggie Knottenbelt, Michael Byrne, Oscar Nijssen, Ben Norton, Stefano Tommasini and Tim van de Paverd

Swiss Cup

Team Altshuler — Ron Pachtman, Piotr Zatorski, Gilad Altshuler and Yoram Aviram

Winter Open Pairs

Ram Soffer & Ron Sheffy

Team Latvia — Edgars Olla, Jurijs Balasovs, Janis Ilzins and Karlis Rubins

European Winter Mixed Teams Championship
