That man’s silence is wonderful to listen to.

Thomas Hardy

Debbie Rosenberg (nee Zuckerberg), wife of Michael and mother of Kevin, is an outstanding player in her own right, having won five gold medals in world championship events: the World Junior Teams in 1991, the Women’s Pairs in 2002, the Venice Cup in 2007 and the Mixed Teams in 2018. Here is a deal she declared with great accuracy.
West’s two-diamond opening was intermediate. Perhaps he should have passed three clubs out; retreating back to four diamonds was wild. Michael Rosenberg’s double as North was intended for penalties, but Debbie expected this to be suitable for spades. The opponents can hold their loss to one trick, so it was reasonable to be in four spades, despite the work required to succeed in that contract.
The defenders led two top diamonds, and East signaled for a heart by pitching the encouraging heart three. West obediently shifted to the heart five, suggesting three. Debbie needed the spades to be 3-2, and West seemed to hold 10 red cards, so she assumed he had short clubs.
Accordingly, Rosenberg smartly advanced the club jack. Had this held the trick, she would have drawn two rounds of trumps with the ace and king, unblocked clubs and then pitched the heart loser on the diamond queen. Whether East ruffed or not, declarer could ruff one heart and throw the other on the club ace.
In fact, East covered the club jack, so declarer took the trump ace and queen, set up the clubs via the ruffing finesse and made 11 tricks.
