Norway, England and Poland (twice) Crowned European Champions

Norway claimed the Open title, England came from behind to win the Women’s championship, while Poland completed a remarkable double by taking both the Seniors and Mixed titles. France achieved another important milestone by qualifying all four teams for next year’s World Championships.

Three rounds remain to determine the European champions. Norway leads the Open event, the Netherlands heads the Women’s standings, France narrowly tops the Seniors, and Poland has one hand on the Mixed title. Yet in every championship, the margins remain small enough to promise a thrilling final day in Riga.

Another busy day in Riga brought two more rounds in the Open Teams and three rounds each in the Women’s, Seniors and Mixed championships. While Denmark continued to set the pace in the Open series, the most notable development came in the Seniors, where France surged into first place.
