Sailing Dutchman — where bridge meets the Caribbean

Sailing Dutchman is a Polish-Dutch company specializing in skippered catamaran cruises in the Caribbean. Founded by Eric van der Vegt from the Netherlands and Ela Tomczuk from Poland, we offer sailing holidays through the Eastern Caribbean, the Grenadines, the British Virgin Islands, and beyond.

But behind Sailing Dutchman there is a story that goes further than sailing.

A social mission that started on land

Long before the catamaran, there was Bridge2Success — a social initiative founded by Ela Tomczuk and Asia Chmielewska with one belief at its core: bridge is a tool for bringing people together. Not just competitive players, but children and seniors, artists and politicians, beginners and life masters. Anyone who sits down at a table and plays.

We started with the Bridge2Success FEST, an event held in Poland that was recognized by the World Bridge Federation, the European Bridge League, and some of the best bridge players in the world.

The next chapter: the Caribbean

That same spirit now lives on the water.

Sailing Dutchman carries the Bridge2Success mission forward — only the setting has changed. We simply combined two passions: a love of sailing and a love of bridge. The result is Bridge & Breeze, a Caribbean catamaran cruise designed specifically for bridge players, where the circumstances for playing are, frankly, unlike anything else.

The format has changed. The sea air is new. But the belief is the same: bridge is best when it brings people together — and even better when it’s also an adventure.
