ACBL and BBO Team Up for a Week of Enhanced Online Club Championships
The American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) and Bridge Base Online (BBO) are joining forces for the BBO–ACBL Club Championship, running from June 8 to 14, turning a full week of regular online games into enhanced competitive events.
The standard ACBL Speedball Masterpoint Pairs and Speedball IMP games, offered daily at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 8 p.m. Eastern Time, have been upgraded to Club Championship status at no additional cost to players. Top finishers will earn additional ACBL Masterpoints beyond the regular award scale, with the number of points increasing according to table count. Additional incentives have also been introduced, with 10 BBO Dollars distributed among the top five pairs in each game and five prizes of 5 BBO Dollars awarded by random draw among participants.
The Club Championship week is a recurring initiative that gives North American bridge players the opportunity to compete for enhanced rewards during a designated period on the calendar. The games are open to players of all experience levels, with entry fees remaining in line with the regular daily schedule. Participants can play with their usual partners or find new ones through BBO’s partner-matching system.
This edition coincides with the start of the eBridge Cup 2026 semi-finals, making the week of June 8-14 a particularly busy period in the online bridge calendar for both North American and international players.
BBO and the ACBL regularly collaborate on similar enhanced events throughout the year as part of ongoing efforts to maintain engagement in club-level online bridge between major championships. The three daily time slots provide coverage across U.S. time zones while remaining accessible to players in Canada and around the world.
