Double here would be takeout of spades, but is it wise? East-West have bid and responded, and your hand is balanced with no guarantee of a fit — partner often has spade length here. You might get carted out and are happy to defend. Pass, but be prepared to consider balancing with a double if the opponents come to a stop in two clubs (or even two spades if feeling frisky).
