 I can hardly jump to three diamonds on a jack-high suit, but two diamonds would be an underbid. Rather than muddy the waters by introducing a three-card spade suit, I will go low with a raise to two hearts and hope there is more bidding to come. Had my partner produced a one-spade response, I would also have settled for a simple raise. A reverse to two hearts seems needlessly complex — and would be an overbid.
