I might open a weak two if vulnerable and consider this a maximum, but I would not argue with the choice of one spade, holding two aces, a fine six-card suit and a singleton. For me, this is definitely a one-spade opener when nonvulnerable, where I tend to preempt lighter, especially in first rather than second seat. The fact that the hand is so playable in hearts would also give me pause.
