DAY 3: Denmark Reigns Supreme

Round 6:
Denmark continues to lead the field, while Germany returns to the podium. Norway suffers a setback after a heavy defeat to Bulgaria, which continues its fine run. Switzerland, with its Polish stars, is improving but has been erratic since the start of the championship.

Round 7:
Led by Dennis Bilde, Denmark continues to set the pace with an average of almost 15 VPs per match. The Netherlands and Norway now see Israel closing in behind them after its victory over modest Georgia. Switzerland loses clearly to Ireland and, as a result, is overtaken by Turkey, which has to settle for a draw against its perennial rival, Greece.
The surprise package, Latvia, comes back down to earth. Still reeling from its heavy defeat to Germany, it is thrashed by Spain, which occupied… bottom place in the standings before the match.

Round 8:
Switzerland, true to its roller-coaster form, tumbles to 19th place after being comprehensively beaten by Finland (70-20!), a nation that never ceases to surprise us and, in the process, climbs to fourth place in the championship. Who would have believed it after three days?
Denmark remains in front after an almost drawn match against Germany. It is now followed by Israel, which crushed Ukraine. The Netherlands, in third place, fell victim to Italy’s revival, finally emerging from its slump and climbing to a more respectable 11th place.
