Its villages, with their red-tiled roofs clinging to the mountainsides, radiate warmth and hospitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bridge players know exactly why they return year after year, flocking to the VidaMar Hotel overlooking the ocean and enjoying the playing conditions carefully crafted by a delighted organizer, Miguel Teixeira. The numbers are as dizzying as the cliffs plunging straight into the Atlantic: 372 pairs registered in the Open Pairs event over three sessions, and 174 teams in the Open Teams!
