The event is open to National Bridge Organisations from Zones 4, 6 and 7, covering Asia, the Middle East and the South Pacific. It is the main regional championship for this cycle, and teams from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China and Gulf nations are expected to take part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme includes four team events: Men&#8217;s, Women&#8217;s, Mixed and Seniors. India, as host, is permitted to field two teams per category. Other federations may enter one team, with additional spots available on a first-come basis up to 16 teams per event. Bridge was granted Priority status by the Indian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports following the country&#8217;s gold medal performances at the 2018 Asian Games.
