The XXXIX Ciudad de La Coru\u00f1a Bridge Tournament was held on 29 and 30 May 2026 at the Real Club N\u00e1utico de La Coru\u00f1a. Organized under the auspices of the Spanish Bridge Association (AEB), the event attracted a full field of 60 pairs competing over two sessions and 52 boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tournament brought together players from across Spain as well as Portugal, confirming its status as one of the leading bridge events in north-western Spain. The field included several experienced national and international competitors, making for a closely contested competition throughout the two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the final session, Diego Brenner and Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez Callejo<\/strong> emerged as overall winners with 64.4%. Gabriel Carrasco Herv\u00e1s and Andrzej Knap<\/strong> finished in second place on 63.5%, while Mar\u00eda S\u00e1inz de Vicu\u00f1a Primo de Rivera and Luis Lantar\u00f3n Pinedo<\/strong> completed the podium with 63.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With only a little more than one percentage point separating the top three pairs, the final standings reflected the highly competitive nature of this year\u2019s edition.
